Morgan Beringer 2020.
Original in UHD, 26:12 duration.

Abstraction 14 is the most recent of an ongoing series of 64 abstract videos inspired by the 64 Taoist hexagrams of the I-Ching. The 14th Hexagram (Dayou) describes a condition of ‘great holdings’ or ‘prosperity.’ The series is intended to provide an atmosphere for personal reflection or meditation by presenting open-ended imagery created through exploring the transitional spaces between still images, definitions, and ultimately the systems of meaning by which we come to understand ourselves and our roles within this rapidly changing world.

Musings on the Covid pandemic

It is indeed an unprecedented time in that

“this is the first ‘global’ event for a generation that has surfaced with such universal immediacy requiring us all to adapt as a species regardless of nationality, religion, politics, etc”.

Hopefully it will in turn create a sense of unity under a common goal (rather than state of fear and isolation) and ease the way into the further changes humanity must make to ensure its continued existence on the planet.
