Untangling

A collaborative dialogue between photographer and dancer in the work of Jason Riker.

Jason Riker is a Brooklyn based photographer and filmmaker whose passion first began on his 13th birthday when he received his first camera, a PentaxK1000. Since then, Jason has gone on to master, both technically and conceptually, the world of photography. His creative process starts with collaboration, where he is the guest in the subjects’ world and together, photographer and subject begin a dance of creative exchange that builds into a visually engaging and memorable work.

“The lens is my instrument to feel people and connect withartists, you become a guest in their world, and mycamera becomes their partner as we dance inthe energy of collaboration.”

Untangling – which features Audrey Rachelle is part of Jason Riker’s Dance Film Series. Riker has kindly re edited it to be featured here as a Cellotape Magazine spoiler.
