It’s A.I. Fashion F.Y.I

A.I. Fashion blooms beautiful in the phantasmal imagination of Bruno Basso.

By Joanne Higgins

The Brazilian maestro is one half of the visionary duo, Basso & Brooke, known for pioneering the use of digital print in textiles, so it’s no surprise that he is at the forefront of A.I. fashion. With over 4,500 followers on Instagram, Bruno is turning up the heat at fashion’s cutting edge. We picked his brains on what inspires him & the rapidly changing fashion landscape.

“As a fashion designer specializing in digital printing, I have seen a huge impact of technology on my daily routine.”

What was you first introduction to A.I.? And when?

Tech in general has been a part of our lives for decades, integrated into various industries including virtual assistants, self-driving vehicles, and medical diagnosis systems. As a fashion designer specializing in digital printing, I have seen a huge impact of technology on my daily routine. My partner and I previously ran Basso & Brooke, a fashion label that was the first to showcase a 100% digitally printed collection at a major fashion week. We now run Jupiter 10, a company that uses cutting-edge technology to create unique wallcoverings.

As AI continues to advance rapidly, it has the potential to revolutionize many industries, much like the internet did in the past. In a few short years, AI will likely become an integral part of both our personal and professional lives, leading us to question the very essence of reality as we know it.

How has A.I. changed the way you create and work?

As a professional in the creative and design industries, I have seen the impact AI has had in various fields. In fashion and interior design, it streamlines the pattern-making process, analyses trends, and generates new ideas. In advertising, it provides valuable insights into consumer behaviour, enabling more targeted campaigns. AI-powered virtual assistants and chatbots have made customer service more efficient.

While AI is still in its infancy, it holds immense potential to enhance and augment human creativity and productivity. It presents new avenues for exploration and invention, but it is crucial to remember that it should not completely replace human input and imagination. The unique perspectives and experiences of individuals are key drivers of progress and will shape our future.
