Fulvio Maiani and his female cycle gear range surpasses the boundaries with both innovative design and construction along with on trend designs we look forward to see him moving forward with his brand.
Here’s an interview we did with him:
What made you start the cycle clothing gear and accessories brand Downhillher ?
Years ago, I was riding my bike at Leogang Bikepark in Austria, and I saw great number of girls enjoying the same riding, exponentially more than the previous years, trying to just get along with them, asking how they like this discipline. meanwhile one thought kept bugging in my mind, all those girls have to wear male apparels, with a lack of style, there are no such female dedicated products, just a few brands are doing it, so It started this growing idea of creating a fully and exclusively dedicated to the girls riders brand, a sort of crossover type of a brand, I went to ask help from my friend Davide “Dade” Colombo, owner of “Madbros“ MX and Cycling manufacturer (web site – https://www.madbros.it) (IG – @mdbrs_official ) and he enthusiastically accepted to produce this first capsule collection as a Co-brand. we are very excited about the result, soon it’s gonna be launched.
What markets are you and do you intend to sell in and is there a website?
First I started to build the audience through social media, and now we have reached a base of 20K followers on IG – (@Downhillh3r), a website gonna be launched soon, with an e-commerce section, also Madbros is contributing with his selling platforms like in-house flag shops in Lecco, and other shops around Italy for now.
Do you cater for all shapes and sizes ?
Definitely Yes and all the garments a top-quality, also we want to develop technical underwear, accessories, leisurewear, and after-sport wear, also we are looking for bikes manufacturer and start new collaborations, we like to provide full support to the girls, always with style.
How do you see the future?
There’s always a dream to start a full girls DH world cup team, something not existing at the moment, also we would like start camps for girls and events. We at Downhillher like to think we can bring more acolytes to this discipline.
