Schiaparelli Paris SS26
Outside Schiaparelli Show SS/26
Photographing street-style before a show at Schiaparelli is always high-end fashion portraits, with guests posing against a Parisian backdrop, which is never the same location. Often the streets are not closed off, and photographers are often dodging cars and buses in a narrow strip in front of the show entrance but somehow, we manage.
However, for the first time at the Ready to Wear SS26 this season, the location was the Pompidou Center (which is had officially closed to the public for renovations for the next 5yrs).
Many celebrity photographers arrived early to get a good spot, at the 2nd entrance for what they termed ‘B grade celebrities & influencers’.
This side of the Pompidou Centre is mostly pedestrian and commercial vehicles only.
The few security guards were doing their best to manage a growing crowd of tourists, evening shoppers, local elderly and the street market vendors all in the mix with the ‘celebrity watchers’. As cars were dropping guest off, the growing crowd had to be pushed back literally like sardines so they would not get run over by the car!
As the dusk turned to evening, a couple of posed photo shoots, with models in vintage Schiaparelli were taking place along the wall next to entrance, seemingly inspired by the ‘chaos‘ behind them.
Every opportunity for social media content matters, more so when outside Schiaparelli fashion show in Paris of course.! Et voila.
