Abstract Masculinity

The art of dress is never an easy concept for men, they simply want to get dressed. Style and fashion is linked to trying to hard, yet guys want to look good, they want to look right, and they want to look successful. These images created by Michael and his team tell the perfect stylish menswear story. Clean and simple, easy, and never overstated, well mixed together, but also modern and stylish but never uptight, restrictive, or over fussy in detail. It is not minimalism but it’s not over stated either, it is thoughtful pieces worn with panache and a relaxed attitude, both in the studio or on the streets. It’s easy to imagine these men striding out of the picture to have a coffee, go to a restaurant, meet friends, or attend a gallery opening. That means it is real clothes, not looks that the moment the shutter has finally clicked, they whip off to get back into their own clothes. It’s clothes and fashion merging into one, it’s real life and a magazine story saying the same thing. Above all this is about getting dressed, looking good and being stylish without either appearing to work too hard at it, or feeling uncomfortable in the clothes. A menswear question was posed, and perfectly answered by Michael and his team. Score ten out of ten; now where’s the bar?
