Into the Raw Elegance

The opposition of elegance and the rawness of nature is symbolic of humanity versus the environment and the elements. The restless sea and winds against the still figure of the model, the hauntingly graceful figure encircled by the rocks and the air, by the grandeur of the scenery, yet within it she carries her own quiet power.

This isn’t another over edited fashion story, it is about conveying an idea, or a concept, of how the model and the natural landscape interact and create an atmosphere.

Her very stillness and her beauty are both heightened by her surroundings and infused with elegance by her clothes. Fashion can be more than just frivolity, it can be serious in the story it tells, the balance of conflict and harmony between the fashion teams’ vision and the great outdoors built by nature through time.

The silhouettes, the colours, the surface textures, and the elegance of the models’ gesture unite fashion to the wilderness, echo with contrasting grace and power. It is not about blending with nature but arranging a beautiful meeting.

Sharp black lines, softly curving faux fur, a bubble of a white dress or separates in semi sheer, each look offers an idea set within natures raw splendour. The contrasting surfaces of the looks and the surroundings where rocks, wind, crashing waves and soaring skies surround the figure are so strong. These images are created to make us think, the pause and wonder, isolated and alone, or revelling in the power of the weather and laments surrounding her? The creative team seem to have fashioned a mythical narrative like Ariadne or Penelope as our heroine stands strong and firm yet empowered by her elegance, so it is fascinating to observe her refusal to adopt only one style. The sharp beige top worn over a white shirt , the tunic jacket fastened with bold buttons, the semi sheer scroll patterned tunic in deep rose pink over a skirt whose pattern of white flower outlines is almost like the silhouettes of  fossils, the golden glow of the pale honey fluffy jacket worn seemingly alone; each look stands alone as a statement yet  the surroundings link them into a story. In 2026 we look for more than simply another fashion shoot, another set of images with familiarity, we look for meaning and ideas. In these pictures we find a depth of thought and consideration behind their creation; to look forward we must also look at the planet and its evolution though nature and the elements. It is this combination where into nature we introduce the human presence, that creates the story, we balance the sophistication of fashion and all its components in beauty and styling with the rugged, raw aspects of the environment created by nature.
